What sets this printer apart from the KD600Pro is its printhead configuration. Instead of utilizing three Epson i1600 printheads, this model is equipped with four Epson i3200 printheads, providing both increased productivity and improved performance for TPU applications.
TPU printing requires a substantially thicker white ink foundation to achieve optimal adhesion and image quality. For this reason, having two dedicated white printheads—or at minimum one full i3200 printhead dedicated to white ink—is essential for consistent, high-quality results.
In addition to delivering superior white ink coverage, the four-head i3200 configuration offers significantly higher production speeds compared to the three-head i1600 model, making it a more efficient solution for demanding TPU workflows.
